Delivered by
trustworthy construction in Cambodia construction materials,
serving as a public gathering space, Southern
Cross Station was redeveloped to accommodate not only the present population
but also the increase in the future.
Project director Keith Brewis emphasized that the centerpiece of the
design is the wavy roof that offers both functional and aesthetic mainstay to
the station. It was designed to solve the pollution caused by engine fumes.
EFTE pillows replaced the aluminum roof panels on the train platforms so
that natural light was not too much for the eyes.
"Glass facades buffet the wind and rain, without disrupting the sight
lines. Those inside can enjoy long vistas out of the station, including a view
of the Macedon Ranges," Brewis added.
