A little bit of French by Pauline Stockwell

As successful furniture shop in Cambodia construction materials informed, commissioned to renovate the presented kitchen, designer Pauline Stockwell was asked to bring a French Provincial ambience into the space which accommodates the traditional theme found elsewhere in the house.

"The kitchen had to be low maintenance, and large enough for visiting grandchildren to be able to join in the cooking," said Stockwell continued of the breif. "The kitchen also needed to be highly functional."

The designer’s solution is a slate-grey panel doors cabinetry with a tongue-and-groove centre and a washed, wood-grain finish. This design resembles the French flavor. The classic motif is furthered by the Kashmir White granite benchtop, and the natural, realistic tones of the tiled flooring. Decorative baskets and a double butler’s sink continued the bygone era theme that satisfies owner’s wish.
