Principles of the BeauxArts by Mick De Giulio and Susan Skilton

Provided by notable furniture in Cambodia construction materials, the duo designers Mick De Giulio and Susan Skilton created the featured kitchen based upon the fundamental doctrines of BeauxArts.

"BeauxArts brings together materials, form and function in a harmonious blend of styles. It balances classicism with modern elements and personal touches," said De Giulio.

"The curved ceiling helps define the space," continued Skilton. "It gives the kitchen a more human scale, and contrasts with the coffered ceiling in the family room. The varying treatments reflect the differing functions of the spaces."

Classical elements are found with the use of limestone archways and part of the walls in the room while contemporariness is in the designed pieces such as the island, cupboards, cabinets and living space pieces.
