Bamboo overturns the outside observation

Having a house surrounding with modern buildings is also considered satisfying because of the great view, especially at night when neon lights are displaying. Hence, designer Kyle Gaffney of SkB Architects was assigned to design a house, especially a bathroom, which can ensure the privacy purpose. Gaffney came up with the idea of using bamboo courtyard which has a 3 meter in height outside of the bathroom windows with the addition of curtains to heighten the seclusion.

Beyond the glass window lies the bathtub of Yangtze River limestone. During night times, owner can enjoy taking a bath with an outdoor view and is ensured of the safety from being exposed by uplights set into the base of the bamboo.
