A bathroom of many sacrifices

Provided by notable furniture in Cambodia construction materials, the above ensuite bathroom designed by architect Grant Amon was created through the cost of a spare bedroom and fireplace in the Victorian terrace house. Nonetheless, the sacrifices did not go to waste when the bathroom turned out well-proportioned and luxurious.

"It's really a see-through, blue-glass box, which provides quite a funky look to the room," stated Amon of the bathroom elements. "Its height is emphasized by a vertical wall of tiles at the head of the bath."

"There are effectively three zones in the room," emphasized the architect. "There is the entrance zone with the wardrobe, the wet zone highlighted by the band of blue tiles, and the dry zone beyond, which is characterized by limestone tiles. These areas also act as transition zones conveying a sense of layered spaces through the bathroom."
