Imitating abstraction by Ilana Kister

Based on American artist’s, Ellsworth Kelly, work of abstract painting, architect Ilana Kister mimicked the awe-inspired portray of light and shadow for the bathroom architectural design.

"I'm attracted to the bold graphic nature of Kelly's work. I like the subtle shift in black lines that are thick and clustered together at one end and thin and spread apart at the other," stated Kister. As provided by notable furniture in Cambodia construction materials.

Introducing the work, the architect prepared the 100 and 200 millimeters square tiles with a mix of black and white which were common for light and dark themes. The black-and-white floor tiles continued until the lower edge of the front entrance to the bathroom which furthered the theme of the abstraction.
