For a conventional and
contemporary bathroom, the lesser detail, the trimmer it becomes. However, some
are different. For instance, designer Jen Stumbles beach-housed bathroom has
the simplest design yet still intrigues a sense of minimalist and luxurious
feeling to the touch.
"The wash room-style aesthetic
is achieved partly by a broad, but not uniform, use of limestone tile on the
floor and walls. On the walls small-format tiles bring out the richness in this
material," Stumbles depicted her design, as quoted by successful
furniture shop in Cambodia construction
materials.
"A large oval stone tub takes center
stage in the space. This is carved from a solid slab of stone, reinforcing the
simplicity and honesty appropriate to a utility wash room."
She added: "A mirrored wall doubles the size of the space and reflects natural light, and again the irregular limestone tile work provides contrast and texture."
