designer Royston Wilson was assigned to establish a bathroom that can reflect
the outdoor elongated pool since the principle of bathing is relating to water.
"When water is available, you want to be able to see
and enjoy it. In this house, the water was there, but it couldn't be
seen." Stated Wilson of the previous layout plan of the ensuite that has a
wardrobe blocking the pool view from the bathroom.
Wilson decided to rearrange the bathroom position with the
wardrobe. With the fix-framed sliding glass door, the bathroom now had access
to the horizontal view of the pool.
"This view adds immeasurably to
the bathroom and, on a practical level, the design improves the owners' access
to the pool," stated Wilson.
"This is achieved with a recurring theme of rectangular shapes, which can be seen in the basins, vanity cabinetry, toekicks, toilet, and the door opening out onto the rectangular pool," added the designer of owner request with the aesthetic and contemporary appearance.
