As successful furniture
shop in Cambodia construction
materials informed, without the concern of privacy and the
bliss of natural surroundings, designers Mary Dooley and Richard Osborn
renovated the featured kitchen with an open-plan layout that blurred the line
between the demarcated areas internally, and outdoor and indoor in a farmhouse
fashion.
"We knew the
cherry would continue to darken with age, and we thought this would provide a
visual contrast to the pale oak flooring," said Dooley.
"We liked the rich
garnet accent which offered a burst of color in the clean black and white
surface," said Ray Manzarek.
While several
workstations were provided, modern sensibility can be seen with the obvious
stainless steel appliances.
