A nature-oriented bathroom by Ai Loon Yong



 
As successful furniture shop in Cambodia construction materials informed, designer Ai Loon Yong was commissioned to design a tropical-located house with the concept freshness and contemporariness.

To do so, a minimalist approach was used. However, the designer also considered the scenery issue since the house had the upper hand regarding to view.

"We were also concerned with ensuring the bathroom was visually linked to the outdoors, as the house is located in a tropical setting. We created a large window with vertical wooden louvers. There is also a slatted skylight above the bathtub to let in light when the louvers are closed," Young said.

"The vanity is freestanding, with a narrow section of mirror extending to the ceiling. Marble for the vanity and wall and floor tiles was selected to give precedence to the view,"
