Designer Claire MacLean was requested to
design a fresh finishing-built penthouse apartment bathroom from nothingness
and transformed the vacant space to become a haven.
"We began with a clean slate, but we had to contend with
4.5m-high ceilings and solid concrete walls," MacLean stated, as provided
by notable furniture in Cambodia construction
materials.
"The owners wanted the bathrooms to be very simple and
seamless looking, so we concealed most fittings, and created negative detailing
on the vanity to avoid the need for door and drawer handles."
Within the bathroom, a huge 2.1m long Kos bathtub was placed
with a large double basin that came with two taps, a bidets, toilet, a walk-in
shower enclosed within a glass box, and finally a vanity cabinetry. The
bathroom also featured other standard accessories.
