duo designer Maria
Arango and Diego Molina were asked to design four bathrooms in a modern-day
house with a brief of connecting with outside environment.
To achieve this, letting natural light and green scenery in
were the key factor. Hence, for the featured bathroom, which was for children,
clerestory windows and glazed sliding screens behind potted plants were added.
The design was minimalist and low-maintenanced.
For the guest bathroom, the design tended to be more
contemporary and luxury with angular figures of fixtures and fittings.
"These angular shapes are juxtaposed against the high, curved glass
ceiling. A rounded light fitting with multiple square petals forms a link
between the two," says Arango.
For the other two bathrooms design, detail were frail yet it
also took after the trend ‘less is more’ with simple yet contemporary design
and installation of innovative bathroom fixtures and fittings.
