remodel the featured bathroom according the French chateau with spar-resort
retreat theme.
The designer embarked on the exterior design with arched
French doors and mirror plates as well as gold Venetian grips.
The designer is also challenged by the use of space to
provide spa facilities in the room.
"My solution was to place the larger elements around
the side of the room, leaving a large open space in the middle. The room is
rectangular, so I put the shower and sauna – both tall and with large volumes –
at each end, which makes the space appear a little squarer. At the same time,
the sauna and shower both have glass doors, which brings a sense of depth – you
can see that the space continues beyond the glass."
"This is a room for living, for entertaining in and for
relaxing – the owners now spend more time in here than they do in their living
room," he added.
