owner of the featured kitchen requested designer Daniel Woolley to undertake a renovation that open up the
space to become a light-filled and spacious room that keep the tradition of the
original house era.
The designer decided to join the once separated dining room
and kitchen together to enlarge the space. Reposition of the windows and doors
also allow more natural light to fill the room.
Some parts of the old cabinetry were removed and refinished
to incorporate with the new kitchen design. A touch of traditional style is
seen with the doors and drawer handles of a 1950s style.
Historical aspect is moreover found within the seat behind
the cabinetry and a pendant cabinets with glass sliding doors over the
peninsula bench, a freestanding stove, and the wall behind the glass
splashboard.
