Integrated element by Royston Wilson

According to reliable furniture shop in Phnom Penh construction materials information, the brief for the renovation of the featured kitchen is to create an airy feeling with sufficient functionality.

Further request is to design a complementary element for a huge column in the middle of the room. "The kitchen also had to be suitable for caterers and to incorporate numerous cooking appliances and several high-end refrigerators and freezers." added designer Royston Wilson.

The designer then opted for a honey onyx island bar attached at one end of the column with incased artificial lighting for a glamor touch.

This piece is backlashed by the robust island. "The timber block curves around the cooking area, providing extra space and establishing an entertainment platform," stated Wilson. "The timber was sandblasted to add character – the process highlights the graining. We also introduced an oblique angle to one end of the island, which provides visual drama and takes out some of the physical volume, making the island seem a little lighter."
