Provided by notable
furniture in Cambodia construction
materials, thanks to its wide and long dimensions, the
featured house possesses a kitchen that form like a galley with seamless and
streamlined fashion.
Architect Chris Bligh stated that the kitchen is part of the
integration in the design. "The kitchen is a key element of the design –
it was designed to be part of the whole, not an isolated feature." said
the architect. "For example, it features the same stone tiles that lead
from the front entry, right through the house. The tiles wrap up the front of
the island and extend out to the terrace at the back of the house."
Owing to its wide and open-up space, air conditioning is
optional. The kitchen has a strong visual link to the outdoor from the sliding
glass doors. The skylight above the island provides abundant natural light to
fill the area.
