Two-way functions by Kristin Utz

Provided by notable furniture in Cambodia construction materials, designed for as vacation retreat, the featured kitchen adopts the outstanding outlook with an understated style. However, the most noticeable piece within the design is the island which serves both as a functional aspect for the kitchen and a complementary for the living area.

"The island, fronted in blue-grey zinc with rich wood framing, is central to this connection. The metal brings an artisanal emphasis and will develop a patina over time, complementing the colors of the vegetation and sea. The zinc also tones with the exterior cladding that wraps over into the living space to form a feature wall."

"Rather than a continuation of the joinery, the island has been designed as a stand-alone piece of furniture to meld with the living areas."
