"As the home was
in a classic style with French Normandy influences, the homeowners wanted to
continue the theme with the new kitchen space. Being well-travelled and
collectors of antiques, they wanted a space that was an expression of their
personal style, as well as functional." said designer Vernon Applegate of
the desired concept to create the above kitchen.
Provided by notable
furniture in Cambodia construction
materials, the French old-world was introduced with French
doors and casement windows, nickel-plated pots and a pot filler, an antique
book press, paneled doors and drawers of the cabinetry, and vintage handles.
The oven and stove top
provide a contemporary feel to the space while accents and other fixtures and
fittings offer a warm and relaxing feel.
