regardless of styles. However, it is also important to make a kitchen meets all
the needs from owners as this kitchen portrays by designer Shirley McFarlane.
The brief from owners
was a space that would be family friendly, entertaining, and homey.
Hence, McFarlane’s
response was two separate islands with an attached informal walnut table. This
means that the family can have more than one cook in the kitchen and plenty of
work surface for food prep, serving, and entertaining.
"I'm not tall, so
I was especially pleased with the way she separated the two ovens rather than
stacking them. They're much easier for me to use," one of the owner said.
