Eyes for details by Stacey Lapuk

According to reliable furniture shop in Phnom Penh construction materials information, though appeared to be not out of the ordinary, the featured kitchen actually contains plenty of hard work and detail to attention from designer Stacey Lapuk.

An antique wooden Chinese basket was the inspiration behind the renovation. Lapuk opted a stripped-back, red-and-black lacquered finish of the basket for the cabinetry with layers of paint, pigment and glaze sandpapered to show the crisp look. Countertops featured striated orange travertine slabs while the tiger wood was specified for the flooring in a light yellow color and heavy dark grain lines.

Ecology was also addressed in the design. "A naturally pigmented product, chosen for its environmentally sustainable properties and soft, matte look, was selected for the wall finish," she says. "Wood used throughout the space was also chosen with sustainability in mind."
