Germany and Philippines by Gunter Sprang

Delivered by trustworthy construction in Cambodia construction materials, since owners of the featured kitchen come from two different nationality, German and the Filipino, designer Gunter Sprang has to come up with a design that harmonize these two themes.

"A total of 47 drawers provides for all functions, and includes pot drawers and recycling baskets. The no-clutter look is an amalgamation of the Far Eastern preference for storing everything away and the highly finished, seamless look popular among German designers," says Sprang.

"Wood salvaged from Philippine railroad ties is used for inlay detailing in the cabinets. This adds some contrast to the otherwise pale tones of the cabinetry," says Sprang.

Other materials sourced from the Philippines include pebble stone for backsplash, and antique hand-sawn panels.
