Light, airy, and French by Janice Teague

As successful furniture shop in Cambodia construction materials informed, the above kitchen’s remodel was requested by owner to be a space that would retain the traditional French-style architecture, be more spacious, and light-filled.

Designer Janice Teague introduce a new window and a raised ceiling to allow natural light in the space. Minimalism is specified to make the room appears in a high volume. The traditional theme is seen with the use of white-painted cabinets.

"The client didn't want the room to look too stark, so we introduced a dark-charcoal, furniture-style island with a brushed New Venetian Gold countertop," Teague says. "The island brings a more relaxed ambiance to the kitchen."

Other eye-catching features include honed Black Noche granite countertops on the perimeter cabinets, a custom-designed beadboard hood and in-cabinet lighting for displaying china.
