Mindful response

According to reliable furniture shop in Phnom Penh construction materials information, trio designers Mark Hulsey, Scott Hall, and Heather Verta was assigned to undertake the renovation of this traditional-style kitchen.

“We realized great care was required to ensure the kitchen would be functional. The owner and her family enjoy cooking and entertaining. Our brief was to design a kitchen that would work well for large groups as well as for entertaining on a more intimate scale,” said Hulsey.

“We looked at designing the kitchen with one large island, but it would have been too large and unworkable. Instead, we have created two smaller islands and the peninsula,” stated Hulsey.

This helps in both ways – a space for more people to work in the kitchen and plenty of work surface for food prep, serving, and entertaining.

Subtle tone, holistic wood veneer with distressed and paneled signatures, antique pieces, adorned corbels, and detail moldings contribute to an old-world feel.
