As successful furniture
shop in Cambodia construction
materials informed, designed by Stephen and Gail Huberman, the
featured bathroom offered a peaceful ambience that similar to those of
meditation areas.
"We finished the tray ceiling in silver tea paper,
while the surrounding soffit is now in mahogany. The wood's rich tones are
picked up again in the related sapele, or ribbon mahogany, on the vanity and
the cabinet by the tub."
"The large-format charcoal floor tiles were lightly
chipped by the stonemason before being laid. This added a rustic touch to an
otherwise sleek floor," spoke Gail Huberman.
"The metal finishes and the round shape of the window
are repeated across the room in the custom two-sided vanity mirror suspended on
rods from the ceiling," stated Stephen Huberman. "Palms set in large
wood pots from Indonesia are tucked into a corner niche, adding to the
bathroom's lush, natural ambiance."
"Visually, the room's presence
is doubled by the inclusion of a floor-to-ceiling wall mirror at the end of the
space," Gail Huberman added.
