Special handcrafted Millwork

Provided by notable furniture in Cambodia construction materials, when asked to remodel the vacation home, designer Laine Jones and builder Steve Howell chose a design of bespoke woodwork appreciation.

From vanity to bath cover to window frames, handcrafted millwork were found. The bathroom featured a walk-in shower at one side of the bathroom, a separate but attached toilet room, and a spa bathtub at another end in front of a huge window.

"The tub was placed so bathers can enjoy the scenery from the spa," said Jones.
"One tricky element was the toilet. Through other constraints, this became an internal room within the suite," stated Jones.

"Now even this room has views to the lake – across the bathroom through the external window. Privacy was not paramount, as the ensuite bathroom is used only by the owners."

"Because of the many hand-built elements, attention to detail was an important part of this project," added Jones. "Everything was closely considered, from the double-action blinds that provide a degree of privacy for bathers, to the bronze tapware that works so well with the golden tones of the Douglas fir."
