Eco-friendly amusement by Kevin Akey

"I wanted to create a raw, industrial look – this is a recycled style of bathroom, with a thrifty re-use of materials," said architect Kevin Akey of his own powder room concept as provided by notable furniture in Cambodia construction materials.

"I used scraps of stainless steel to create the waterfall faucet, and incorporated a concealed overflow for the water to drain away," he stated. "Stainless steel foot pedals operate the faucet – I selected them because they are functional and hygienic, as well as good looking."

Using recycled galvanized metal, the toilet panels are created. Introducing light in the room is important since it is an internal space with no windows or skylights. Hence, the architect opts acrylic glass panels in a bird's-eye maple frame that let natural light to pour in from the foyer without losing seclusion.

"Guests enjoy using the powder room, even if some of them do need to spend a few moments finding out how everything works," he added.
