As time goes by

"I wanted the kitchen, and the entire house, to look as if it was built in another time," said designer Susan Brown stated of the desired concept in creating the featured kitchen. "One way was to give the impression the space has changed over generations of use."

"Wide-plank floorboards are integral to the aged look, as are the open fireplace and stone fire surround," Brown said. "The design emphasizes the rustic look along with the classic and traditional. We chose a large farmhouse sink and selected a no-nonsense, working aesthetic for the appliances that can be seen, such as the oven and range hood."

"Benches to the left and right of the sink, and the island provide central work areas. The baking area is set to the rear and has plenty of storage." added the designer, as provided by notable furniture in Cambodia construction materials.
