According to reliable
furniture shop in Phnom Penh construction
materials information, a collaborated work between architect Jeffery Sweitzer, David Erotas, and
designer Laura Ramsey Engler, the featured kitchen achieves a typical open-plan
setting which provides more casual look and ample space that suit owner’s
lifestyle.
New sliding pocket doors with
translucent mica panels are specified to allow more natural light in the room
and screen-off the kitchen from the main living and dining area when needed.
"In the daytime, the sunlight
illuminates the mica panels, and by night the reverse is true – the doors glow
with the light from the kitchen," Sweitzer said.
"The owner wanted a kitchen with detailing, but it was
also important to keep the interior very sleek," Ramsey Engler stated.
"We specified figured sycamore for the front of the island and overhead
cabinets. This provides the detail, but in a subtle way.
"We wanted the lower cabinets to tell a different
story, so these have a pearlized finish in a color that is similar to the
bleached sycamore. It's a fairly low contrast, but it adds a layer of
complexity."
