Provided by notable
furniture in Cambodia construction
materials, the featured bathroom located inside a condominium
clashed with the norm of the usual compartmentalization. This time, the condo’s
bathroom was open for the eyes to see.
"The clients wanted a much more open suite with no
doors separating rooms," said one of the designers, Scott Gjesdahl.
"Consequently, we removed walls and closets to create one large bathroom
with a wide opening leading from the bedroom."
"We floated the vanities off the floor to provide a
greater floor area, which makes the space seem more generous," added
another designer Sandra Gjesdahl.
The bathroom was also designed to have an airy feel as well
as a modern-day spa resort retreat. Hence, a well-proportioned and symmetrical
design was added which then reinforced by a center stage bathtub placed in
front of a double-sized fireplace.
To minimized owner’s budget and pipework, toilet and shower
area were kept unchanged.
