As successful furniture
shop in Cambodia construction
materials informed, having a long history of aesthetics and
sculptural form, the featured bathroom and whole house’s remodel took after the
antique design yet with a more relaxing and light sensation.
"We didn't want the interior to be a total departure
from the historic facade," designer Courtney Taylor said. "But at the
same time, the owners did not want a stuffy, formal look. The interior needed
to reflect the family's casual, relaxed way of living, hence the use of bold
color elements."
"For the master suite, we also
added a touch of light turquoise. The color appears in the upholstered
banquette seating beneath the window, and reappears in the sea-foam accent
tiles in the bathroom flooring."
