History with twist by Colin Wright

According to reliable furniture shop in Phnom Penh construction materials information, owner of the featured kitchen commissioned designer Colin Wright to renovate a space that continue the house’s era but with a surprising element.

"The owners wanted the design to center on a Chalon Worktable, which is a signature island from Chalon's handmade solid wood cabinetry range," he said. "However, we added a contemporary twist to the kitchen, by introducing subtle shades of colour and modern appliances. The island, for example, is painted a soft lilac colour with a distressed finish. Other items were chosen to complement this."

"Because the refrigerator and range are not integrated, we designed a housing for the fridge and a canopy for the range. These help to tie the stainless steel appliances into the traditional kitchen, effectively marrying the opposing styles."
