materials, designer Simon Novak was asked to remodeled the featured kitchen in a
manner that continue the house’s era with a present-day elements.
To do this, the designer switched the position of the
kitchen to a more airy and spacious area in the house.
Tradition and modern presence is seen with the design as
Novak raised an example: "There is a 16-seater antique table in the dining
area, so I wanted to create a kitchen that would tie in with that and at the
same time, add a level of contrast to the space."
"The new panelling in the kitchen has cleaner lines
than the original 1920s style would have, which gives it a more modern
feel," Novak stated.
"The window is a replica of a traditional style, but
the white-painted chandelier and stainless steel benchtop add a quirky
twist."
