Old and new by Morgan Cronin

As successful furniture shop in Cambodia construction materials informed, designed by Morgan Cronin, the featured kitchen possesses a trend called “Classic contemporary” within a villa.

"It's a great combination, mixing the old with the new. The kitchen, with its minimal detailing and clean, square edges is not overpowering, but nor is it overwhelmed – and in this way, demonstrates the timeless quality of good design."

"The clients were very clear about this, so we spent a lot of time looking at different stones in various colours together. The Statuario Venato stood out as the best quality example. It is very white with beautifully defined grey veining – which plays off both the stained oak and stainless steel."

"If the kitchen was totally white, it would be minimalist in style. Instead, we have combined these three classic materials to create a softer, more contemporary look."

Symmetry is also added to reinforce the traditional element. "The island has been designed to maximise its impact on this large-scale room. Symmetry is created by the uninterrupted 5.4m-long row of cupboards on the back wall, underlined by the marble elements,"
