Provided by notable
furniture in Cambodia construction
materials, with a strong passion for wine, owner of the
presented kitchen commissioned designer Shelly Handman to create a space that houses their beloved
alcoholic bottles close to the kitchen.
The designer’s solution was to narrow down the hallway
besides the kitchen and reduce the size of the wardrobe. "This created an
area 3m long and 1m deep, adjacent to the kitchen and large enough to provide
storage for 1000 bottles and magnums of wine," said the designer.
"We liked the idea of having the wine close to the
kitchen. It is convenient and integrates with the open-plan kitchen and the
living spaces next door. Also, the wine isn't shut away, but instead is
incorporated into the apartment. It's our art."
