Dramatic touch by Jamie Herzlinger

Provided by notable furniture in Cambodia construction materials, it is not an everyday thing when designers meet with clients who seek a design that make a strong visual statement and set the scene per se. This rare occasion was bestowed to designer Jamie Herzlinger, having been asked to renovate the featured kitchen.

"Contrary to what some people may think, sealed marble wears beautifully," she said. "The Calacatta Gold slabs in this kitchen have an opaque quality that makes the veining stand out."

"The addition of a sofa makes for a touch of romance," added Herzlinger. "Similarly, with the formal dining area, I like to create a stage set – there is a definite theater aspect to the design. This is reinforced by the transparent acrylic chairs, the silver leaf ceiling panel and the chandelier."
