Delivered by
trustworthy construction in Cambodia construction materials,
the project of a duo architect Jay Corder and builder Royce Flournoy, the above
kitchen emanates a blur of past and present in an open-plan environment which
was the intention behind the remodeled concept.
"Taking out the
walls and adding windows meant rethinking the structure and the systems,"
said Flournoy. "We had to move plumbing and electrical elements, and find
new ways to hide them."
The traditional theme
was specified a pared-back design, natural limestone countertops, black
hardwood floors, crisp white lacquered cabinetry and paneled doors and drawers
as well as the antique chandeliers.
Modern functionality
can be seen via stainless steel appliances and gold and green fabric colors.
