"The kitchen needed to have balance and detail, but the
owners didn't want it to dominate the space," said Gillanders. "The
Laminex tones provide a graduation of color and enhance the simple, clean-lined
aesthetic of the house."
"This is one of my favourite laminates," says
Gillanders. "It provides a light, airy look and has a slight fleck for
added visual interest. For this project, we designed a 30mm-thick edge, similar
to a granite benchtop."
"Laminex laminates provided the bold, contemporary look
we wanted at an affordable price. We also particularly like the granite look of
the benchtop."
