Modern Colonial Revival refashion

"The client had a strong sense of the materials needed to create the feel she wanted," said kitchen designer Todd Atkins of the concept that led to the design of the above space. "Built in the Colonial Revival style, the house has a number of traditional elements. The client wanted to reference those, but within a modern framework."

"Slab marble, stainless steel, white painted cabinetry and a dark-stained island create a simple, yet tailored, look." he added, according to reliable furniture shop in Phnom Penh construction materials information.

"Activities associated with cooking and cleanup are positioned along the exterior wall, with separate zones for each," stated Atkins. "On the opposite side, we have provided appliances and storage for breakfast foods and snacks. This is the communal area of the kitchen, with bar stools set beneath the island.

"By creating distinct zones, circulation within the kitchen, and between rooms, is now completely free-flowing."
