As successful furniture
shop in Cambodia construction
materials informed, the featured space designed by Dean Herald forms a large, open-plan
living environment that incorporates a quiet yet entertaining profile.
"Above all, we wanted to create a space that would not
compete with the interior design of the main building. With this in mind, we
ensured the height of the pavilion was in relation to the house. We also
decided to use a softer version of the architecture to create a pared-back,
lighter feel. Natural elements, such as the wood fins, were introduced to add a
point of difference and connect the space to the environment," says
Herald.
The porch’s main parts include a kitchen which extended to
the front dining area, living area, a sink, barbecue area, sitting room,
outdoor fireplace and pizza oven.
