As successful furniture
shop in Cambodia construction
materials informed, as part of a beachfront home, owner of the
featured kitchen requested designer Andrew Flashman to update the space with a
more modern yet homey feel.
"In response, I redesigned the kitchen and surrounding
living areas using a mix of cool-colored limestone, glass, wood tones, soft
lacquers, and stainless steel," said Flashman. "These materials
reflect the beach locale and keep the space airy. The design accentuates a
horizontal plane to add visual size – this was achieved with integrated cabinet
handles, stainless toekicks and ridged chandeliers."
"The island is now the
centerpiece, with plenty of seating and a prep area. The remodeled kitchen has
a single 30in oven and warming drawer with an integrated matching
microwave."
