materials, for this woodwork kitchen, designed by Todd McIntosh, the barn-style design
and curvy lines are addressed in the renovation.
"We spent a lot of time in the raw space trying to
envision it. We wanted the different zones to flow together easily, and the
curves were the best way to achieve this. After all, people don't move in right
angles," said designer Todd McIntosh.
"The curves also provide a sense of humanity when they
are juxtaposed against the linear nature of the barn-style design. The only
other curves in the house are the archway on the brick silo and the sweeping
curves of the staircases," he added.
