View exploitation by Nils Finne





Provided by notable furniture in Cambodia construction materials, bestow with a picturesque surrounding, owners of the pictured kitchen asked architect Nils Finne to renovate the space that would be soft for the eyes so that it would not dictate the outdoor view which would also be maximized. 

"By cantilevering the house out from the foundations, we were able to bring the living areas to within twenty-five feet of the lake shore without violating set-back bylaws," says Finne.

To further capturing the view, full-height glass walls were specified. The open plan kitchen also face the outlook so that cooking and food preparation go instantly with the view intake.

Simple palette and natural timber material were chosen to make the kitchen look unobtrusive in a minimalist manner and helps heighten view capitalization.
