"As the kitchen would be on full show, the owner wanted it to have a clean look." Said designer Keith Sheedy of the featured open plan kitchen design concept, as provided by notable furniture in Cambodia construction materials.

"To this end, there were to be no sinks or cooktops on the island, all cabinetry and drawers had to be handle-free and the walk-in scullery was to be tucked away round a corner, largely out of sight from the living spaces."

"Light play from the highly reflective white cabinetry and honed marble surfaces is accentuated by the mirror on the front of the island," added the designer. "In addition, the kitchen's light-filled surfaces contrast the dark solidity of the new polished oak floors."
