Outdoor influence by Mark Hutker

Delivered by trustworthy construction in Cambodia construction materials, the featured bathroom’s design is adopted from owners’ favorite outdoor shower and offers fresh and light color and natural material tones that play the important role in the design.

"We often joke with our clients that we are the masters of outdoor showers – a local tradition on Martha's Vineyard, where this house is located. In place of the cedar often used for privacy screens, we have adopted teak, a highly water-resistant wood."

Light blue shade of marble tile for tub cover complements the close proximity of the sea and floor tile resembles the exterior tilework in the terrace. Stainless steel materializes shower enclosures and curtains’ racks.

"The mirror appears to float in front of the wall tiles. Along with the mechanical arms of the lamps and wing mirrors, this creates a sense of whimsy."
