As successful furniture
shop in Cambodia construction
materials informed, the heart of the featured house is not at
the central but on the top terrace which is freely open to the beautiful
outlook and under the blue sky.
"With its flat slabs, the house is essentially a
concrete sandwich with glass infills," architect Trevor Reitsma said.
Using a concrete construction provided thin sections that enabled us to keep
within the height limit. It also created a flat roof that was ideal for a
terrace."
"The exposed nature of the terrace means it is not
suitable for year-round use," stated Reitsma. "But it certainly comes
into its own on sunny days and warm evenings."
The space’s main zones include an outdoor living area,
dining and entertaining area, and a suspended swimming pool.
