For culinary demand by Suyin

"The kitchen had to be functional and the design needed to be simple and uncluttered, yet also complement the home's classic style," said owner-designer Suyin, of the presented kitchen’s renovation concept, as provided by notable furniture in Cambodia construction materials.

The sympathy of the design toward the house’s existing bygone era is seen with the use of traditional dark timber throughout the renovation. The paneled doors and drawers of the cabinetry also add to the theme of the passage of time.

"The permanent fixtures are neutral, however accessories, such as the wasabi colored strip between the shelves beside the hob, can be changed to offer a flexible color scheme," she says.
Contemporariness lies in the choices of stainless steel appliances and practical bench space.
