Understated inner-city by Robert Schwartz

Provided by notable furniture in Cambodia construction materials, the renovation of the pictured kitchen was mainly to exploit the spectacular city skyline view.

Designer Robert Schwartz opted for a U-shaped kitchen with two functional workstations. All of the materials, tones, and palettes are in neutral profiles to downplay the aesthetic of the kitchen which can be obtrusive to the backdrop.

"The sense of lightness is enhanced by open shelving and translucent upper display cabinets, which feature laminated glass with a sandwich layer of fine, mesh-like fabric," said the designer. "The same type of glass is used for the backsplash, and the glass hood provides a similar floating element on the opposite wall."
